Germany Pavilion
During Carabram 2008, the German Canadian Club Hansa invites you to visit the German Pavilion located at 6650 Hurontario Street.
Our theme for this year is "GERMAN TOWNS AND CITIES". Come taste a variety of delicious German food, including:
- Schnitzel
- Bavarian Sausages
- Pork Hocks
- SauerKraut
- Potato Salad
- Traditional German Desserts
We have a full bar serving German beers, spirits, wine and soft drinks. Quench your thirst with your choice of drinks, including two unique German draft beers. We also plan to have an outside beer garden (another German tradition).
For your dancing and listening pleasure, the Harmonie Brass German band will play a variety of music throughout the weekend. They will also provide a performance with three Alpine horns. Our organ grinder will once again be here to greet you as you get off the buses.
Our dance groups of different ages who will perform authentic German dances wearing the traditional costumes (called Trachten in German). Want to give it a try? At the end of the shows, there will be time for audience participation.
Germany has its own traditions, but many towns and cities are well known for specific events over the year. Food dishes from Northern Germany can be very different from Southern Germany too! Join us as we give you just a taste of what Deutschland has to offer.
For those with a sweet tooth, one of our booths will be a Café serving coffee, tea and German pastries.
Many of our women volunteers will be wearing traditional German costumes (called Dirndls in German) which will transform Carabram into a very colourful and festive occasion.
There will be booths with souvenirs, soft pretzels, etc.
For your comfort and convenience, our hall is air conditioned and we have a large parking area.
So, once again, we invite you to the German Pavilion during Carabram 2008 and we will do our best to make your visit an enjoyable experience.
