Africa is the second largest continent in the world.  The continent consists of 47 countries, each country offers unique and diverse fashion, arts, craft, music, food, and culture. These diversities have created unique styles, scrumptious food, as well as bequeaths exhilarating music that have influenced many genres of today’s (modern) music.

When many think of Africa, they think of Africa’s wildlife and landscape.  However, Africa has more to offer than just that.

Many African food is shared (common) throughout the entire continent. The dishes are prepared differently with different side dishes from one region to the next.  Example is the Fufu or Foufou and Plantain.  Fufu or Foufou is mostly eaten in West and Central Africa, and is accompanied with soup or stew. These dishes are prepared with their own unique side dishes.  Your taste buds are sure to be in for a ride!  Plantain is a sort of banana that is deep fried or boiled.  Fufu  can be made out of corn starch, or plantain, or yam, or cocoyam, or cassava or a combination of the various carbohydrates. Fufu is eaten with stew or soup.

Africa offers a wide range of clothing, dresses, head gears, foot wear, and ornaments due to the numerous cultures that are found in Africa.  Jellabiya  is worn in Egypt and the Sudan,  the Kangu in worn by Swahili men in Eastern Africa and the Swahili women wear Gomesi. Pagne is worn by Central Africa women, it consists of a loose top and a length of cloth that is wrapped around the waist as a skirt.  African clothing can be bought already made; however, the majority, and the most authentic of these clothes are designed after the material has been bought.  Modern music, fashion, and arts have a great deal of African influences.
