Enjoy the music and merrymaking of an ancient and mystic land, taste the flavourful cuisine, and shop in a marketplace full of beautiful handcrafted goods.

Entertainment:
Mya Thida Dance Troupe will take you on a journey of rhythm and pageantry, with the magical dances of the Lighting Festival. Experience the moves and sounds from ancient times to modern day, with many magical stops in the eras in between.
Mouth watering Myanmar Menu:
- Mohinga (rice vermicelli in hearty fish soup)
- Ohn-No-Khauk-Swe (noodles and lightly curried chicken in coconut milk)
- Ohn-Htamin (coconut rice, meat curries with a blend of Myanmar spices and salad)
- Vegetarian dishes from Myanmar
- A-Kyaw-Sone (delectable lightly breaded vegetable fries, served with green lettuce, coriander and hot chili sauce)

Fast Facts about the Country / Region
Myanmar (once known as Burma) is the largest country (with a total area of 678,500 km²) in mainland Southeast Asia. Located between Bangladesh and Thailand, with China to the north and India to the north-west, Myanmar’s coastline includes both the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. The estimated population of Myanmar for 2008 is approximately 48 million.
Visitors to Myanmar can ski to their hearts’ content in the snowy mountains of Hkaka Borazi (highest mountain range in Asia), enjoy breathtaking vistas from a slow riverboat ride along the Ayeyarwady River, and wet their feet in incredibly warm waters of the thousand islands of the Mergui Archipelago. Almost half of the country is still unspoiled woodland. A traveler can find many ancient pagodas nestled within the natural sanctuaries which promote spirituality and reflection. Exploring the heavenly villages in the lush green valleys and hills exposes visitors to some of Myanmar’s over 200 ethnic groups still practicing traditional ways of life that date back hundreds of years. The dominant ethnic group is the Bamar who speak Burmese. 10% of the population is Shan, who speak Shan dialects related to Lao and Thai. The Karen makes up 7% of the population, and speaks languages distantly related to Burmese. Other main ethnic groups are Rakhine, Kachin, Kayah, Chin, and Mon.

May Sweet was the youngest among the renowned female singers in the late 70s. She started singing publicly at the age of thirteen. Born on February 13, in Yangon to a celebrity mother, five time academy award winner, actress Myint Myint Khin and lawyer father U Khin Maung Nyunt, she was named Swe Aye Myint but affectionately known to all as "May Sweet ".
To show her gratitude,love and dedication to her mother, May Sweet likes to sing the song Na Bann San which made her mom famous forty years ago. She has shown superb artistic talents by singing stately Myanmar classical songs, modern songs and old time favorites. Capturing the hearts of young and old alike with her infectious smile and sweet nature, May Sweet has become an icon in the music industry at a very young age.
Performing in Asia, Europe, Australia, Jamaica and the US for stage shows, fund raising and charitable concerts, she has released more than 100 albums. She is not only a well-known singer but also an actress who has performed many Myanmar movies and appeared in videos and on television. She has been singing for 33 years and has continued her career as a singer performing for Myanmar communities all over the world. May Sweet a graduate of the University of Yangon is currently residing in Delaware, USA.
