Bangladesh
This is the second year Bangladesh will host its own pavilion at Carabram. Your host Peel Bangladeshi Community Services have lined up many culturally enriching opportunities for passport holders.
Over centuries Bangladesh has evolved into a distinct, yet diverse land with influences from several neighboring regions. These influences can be acknowledges through Bangladeshi language, music, dance, cuisine, and dress.
"Learn a Bengali phrase" Language is a profoundly important aspect of Bangladeshi culture. International Mother Language Day by UNESCO promotes linguistic, cultural diversity and multilingualism as well as commemorates the lives of University of Dhaka students who gave their lives for their mother tongue in 1952.

"Sing-a-long to traditional folk music."
Music and Dance is a integral part of Bangladeshi culture. Bangladeshi music is divided into three categories classical, folk, and modern.
Folk song lyrics are inspired by mysticism, devotion, and love.
Unique instruments include banshi, dole, ektara, dotara, and the mandira.
Our cultural show will include music from all categories, and appearances by modern artists.
Young local dancers from different regions of Bangladesh will showcase their classical dancing talents.

"Indulge in delicious food."
Due to Bangladesh's unique geographic location traditional meals include plenty of rice and fish. However, don't leave without trying our famous desserts! Chomchom, roshogolla, shondesh, and homemade pitas are just a few of our favourites.

"Play with Color"
The sari is by far the most widely worn outfit by Bangladeshi women and sari weaving is considered one of our traditional arts. They are often produced by beautiful jamdani muslin of all colours. Men typically wear lungis casually, and panjabi on cultural occasions. Be sure to check out our fashion show for inspiration, and our vendors to browse through a few pieces yourself.
