Other information
Carabram is completely run by volunteers, who spend months planning and organizing to ensure visitors are treated to an exciting cultural adventure. The food and beverage organizers spend hundreds of hours preparing mouth-watering dishes featuring foods for every palate. This year we have many vegetarian dishes that should be popular with everyone no matter what your food preferences or diet restrictions! Professional entertainment is always a highlight at the pavilions and cultural displays of artifacts and crafts are lovingly displayed so that neighbours can learn something about neighbours and perhaps come to a new appreciation of the wonderfully diverse and vibrant community that is Brampton.
This year Carabram is extending its usual warm welcome but with a relevant twist. In keeping with the environmental challenges facing our planet, Carabram organizers have ensured that recycling bins are located at each pavilion. They urge you to deposit your waste products in the appropriate bins. Many pavilions will be featuring recyclable utensils and dinnerware. And, do make your journey around the world by shuttle bus! It’s free! It’s stress-free! It’s fun!
Pavilion organizers set out to not only impress their guests, but to impress the Carabram judges who visit every pavilion, taste-test food, enjoy unique entertainment, and learn about other cultures before awarding prizes in such categories as Entertainment, Atmosphere and Décor, Culture, Food, Most Passports Sold, and of course, Best Overall Pavilion. Competition is friendly but intense as each cultural group is extremely anxious to show off its roots.
We look forward to seeing you at Carabram 2010, July 9– July 11! |
